A message from the President and CEO

President and CEO
SCN celebrates 2010 with a slate full of terrific TV viewing for you and your family.
This winter you can travel the world through the amazing international fare we have to offer. From beloved British crime shows to a Saskatchewan perspective on the beef industry, to the shocking story of missile testing in the former USSR: SCN brings together global and local perspectives that help you understand your world better.
Get close-up to nature on a Saskatchewan homestead with naturalist Bob Long, tracing the movement of wildlife and the changing landscape of a 40 acre parcel of land over a full year.
Enjoy a ground-breaking film about an amazing art program that’s enhancing life for Saskatchewan people in long-term care, and be sure to tune in for a rebroadcast of an original SCN series with an innovative take on crime.
Along with crime must come justice, and we’ve gathered a selection of programs that reveal what it takes to become a police officer – here in Saskatchewan, across Canada with the RCMP, and as far away as Australia.
Canada’s infamous Survivorman, Les Stroud, leads a pack of shows that help us understand how to conserve energy and live sustainably, with his family-oriented show Off the Grid with Les Stroud.
And you will meet more Saskatchewan friends and neighbours in our fourth season of 15 Minutes of Fame, the popular original SCN series that invites viewers to share their own stories across the province.
This winter, I hope you and your family stay warm and enlightened at home with SCN.
Sincerely,
Twyla MacDougall
